YES PYZEL SBBS SNOWBOARD 2024

This year we partnered up with our good friends at PYZEL surfboards to build an all-mountain performance board. This board is the only board you’ll need all winter long, it has a tapered MidBite outline and some slamback inserts for those big powder days. Its twin construction makes it a true freestyle board when you’re riding the park or pipe. This board is like riding pipeline alone, it’s a dream.

This collaboration stemmed from the love of performance on a board. We wanted to provide riders that enjoy a board that can be as performant as they want it to be. YES. Technology

Tapered MidBite :
Tight turns, stable landings and float. Tapered MidBite blends the response of a narrow waist width with the stability of a wider nose and narrower tail for powder flotation. The design steps a single section of each sidecut inwards between the insert packs. This single long disruption of the sidecut between the bindings cheats the waist width narrower, providing quicker edge-to-edge response. Meanwhile, from your bindings out to the end of the sidecut we maintain a wider board width that improves float in pow and is a stable platform. The Step inwards on the front is deeper than Step outwards on the back creating a slight taper in the tail allowing the tail to be just a little narrower than the nose but without losing the twin feel.

CORE

POPLAR/PAULOWNIA

The weightless core strikes a critical balance between lightweight and strength. Using a lower density species of Poplar in areas that are not as structural and Paulownia in the areas that are, we’re able to shave precious weight off our beloved 420 and now the 20/20. This helps a board not only float, but “feel” floaty.

BASE MATERIALS

SINTERED SPEC

This is the term we use and is the grey zone many companies play in. We call it Sintered Spec because it’s hardness and chemical properties are very close to true sintered and it’s on-snow performance is also very close to true sintered - but it’s formed using the extrusion process. How? – Well the raw material is actually pre- consumer recycled (meaning it never left the factory) sintered base material. So while the heating and extrusion process has softened it slightly, it’s still much harder than true Extruded.
