Terms of service

Last updated: November 5, 2026

1. About us and these Terms

This website and online store are operated by ONE Boardshop (“ONE Boardshop,” “we,” “us” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and related features and services, and purchases through our online store (collectively, the “Services”).

By accepting these Terms when placing an order or creating an account, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not place an order or create an account. An account is not required to check out.

Our Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy form part of these Terms where applicable to your purchase. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Nothing in these Terms or our other policies excludes, restricts or replaces any consumer right, legal warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or replaced. If a policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, that requirement prevails.

2. Eligibility and accounts

To place an order yourself, you must have reached the age of majority in your province or territory and have legal capacity to contract. Otherwise, a parent or legal guardian must place the order on your behalf.

Provide accurate and current order, contact and account information. You must be authorized to use your payment method. Keep account credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize, but not for losses caused by our failure to meet our legal obligations.

3. Products and availability

We aim to provide accurate descriptions, photographs, specifications, prices and availability information. Colours and appearance may vary with display settings. This does not affect your right to receive products that conform to their description and applicable legal requirements.

We may change our selection, discontinue products or establish reasonable purchase limits. Listing changes do not, by themselves, alter accepted orders.

Follow manufacturer instructions, warnings and maintenance requirements. Arrange professional fitting, assembly or adjustment where required before using equipment. This does not release us from responsibility for defective products or other legal obligations.

4. Orders and acceptance

Before submitting an order, review the available details and correct any errors. Submission constitutes an offer to purchase at the prices and on the terms shown at checkout. An automated acknowledgment of receipt does not, by itself, confirm acceptance.

We accept your order when we expressly confirm acceptance or confirm shipment, whichever occurs first, subject to applicable law. Before acceptance, we may decline an order for a legitimate reason, including unavailable stock, unsuccessful payment, suspected fraud or an error preventing fulfilment as submitted. We will notify you and promptly refund any payment collected for a declined order.

If a problem arises after acceptance, we will contact you about the available options and honour your legal rights. We will not increase the agreed price or substitute a materially different product without your agreement. We will provide your order information and a copy of the applicable contract in a retainable form within the time required by law.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars unless another currency is clearly identified. Advertised prices include mandatory fixed charges that must be included by law. Applicable sales taxes and separately permitted shipping or other charges are disclosed before you submit your order. Your checkout summary identifies the currency and total payable.

By ordering, you authorize us and our payment providers to process payment for the disclosed total, subject to applicable law. Online and in-store prices may differ where permitted. Additional promotion terms, including eligibility and expiry dates, will be disclosed with the offer and do not override mandatory consumer rights.

6. Shipping and delivery

We currently ship within Canada from our Kelowna location. Our Shipping Policy explains processing, delivery methods, charges, tracking and delivery problems. Our usual processing time before dispatch is 1–3 business days, excluding weekends and statutory holidays; carrier transit time is additional.

For shipping we arrange, risk of loss or damage remains with us until delivery to you or a person you authorize to receive the order. Delivery estimates and events beyond our reasonable control do not remove statutory cancellation, refund or other rights.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Our Return and Refund Policy explains voluntary returns and exchanges. Contact us promptly to request an order change or cancellation. We may be unable to accommodate a voluntary request once fulfilment begins.

Return windows, final-sale designations and voluntary policy restrictions do not limit legal rights concerning defective, misdescribed, undelivered or otherwise non-compliant goods.

Statutory cancellation rights may also apply where required information or a contract copy was not provided, or delivery requirements were not met. We process statutory cancellations and refunds within applicable legal deadlines and without prohibited deductions. Return arrangements and costs for statutory remedies are governed by applicable law.

8. Product warranties

Products are subject to applicable Canadian federal, provincial and territorial warranties, conditions and guarantees. A manufacturer’s warranty is additional to rights you have against us under applicable law; its expiry or exclusions do not necessarily end those rights.

Contact info@oneboardshop.com about defective or misdescribed products. We will assess the issue and provide the legally required remedy, which may include repair, replacement or refund. For Quebec consumers, applicable legal warranties include fitness for ordinary use and reasonable durability, considering price, contract terms and conditions of use.

9. Shopify and other providers

Shopify hosts our online store and provides supporting technology. Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchases are from ONE Boardshop, not Shopify. Providers supporting payments, operations and delivery do not remove our obligations as seller or require you to release them from liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Optional third-party services may have separate terms disclosed when you choose to use them.

10. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information. Accepting these Terms does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional marketing or unrelated information uses.

We may send communications needed to process orders, administer accounts, respond to requests or provide legal notices. Promotional emails and text messages require the consent or other lawful basis required by Canada’s anti-spam legislation and include required sender details and an unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary order or account communications.

11. Intellectual property

Website text, photographs, graphics, logos, designs and other content belong to ONE Boardshop or their respective owners and are protected by Canadian and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may browse and save or print information for personal shopping and record-keeping. Other copying, distribution, modification or commercial use requires permission unless permitted by law. Purchasing a product does not transfer its associated intellectual property.

12. Reviews and submissions

You retain ownership of content you submit for publication. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display and reasonably format it for the purpose for which you submitted it, including displaying product reviews. This does not authorize misrepresenting your views or using private support communications as advertising without permission.

You must have the necessary rights to submit content. Reviews must reflect your honest experience and disclose relevant incentives or material connections. Do not submit unlawful, defamatory, misleading or infringing content, malicious code or another person’s personal information without authorization. We may remove violating content but will not knowingly change a review’s meaning.

13. Acceptable use

Do not use the Services to commit fraud, infringe rights, threaten or harass others, introduce malicious code, access information without authorization or interfere with operation. Do not unlawfully collect personal information or bypass security. Automated tools must not disrupt the Services or facilitate prohibited conduct.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats or material breaches. This does not remove rights concerning existing purchases or legal remedies.

14. External websites

Linked external websites operate under their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not necessarily indicate endorsement. This does not exclude responsibility imposed by law for our own statements, recommendations or conduct.

15. Availability and liability

We take reasonable steps to maintain the Services, but interruptions, maintenance and technical errors may occur. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for business losses, such as lost business profits or opportunities, resulting from use of a website intended for personal shopping. This exclusion does not apply to Quebec consumers.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or death caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Rights and remedies under applicable consumer protection and sale-of-goods legislation remain unaffected.

16. Account closure

You may stop using the Services and request account closure. We may suspend or close an account for material breach, suspected fraud or legitimate security reasons, with notice where reasonable and legally required. Closure does not extinguish purchase obligations or legal rights. Outstanding orders will be fulfilled or addressed through lawful cancellation and refund. Provisions intended by their nature to continue, including intellectual property and existing claims, survive termination.

17. Governing law and disputes

Subject to mandatory laws applicable to you, these Terms are governed by British Columbia law and federal Canadian law applicable there. This does not deprive you of consumer protections applicable in your province or territory.

Proceedings may be brought before any court with jurisdiction under applicable law. These Terms do not require exclusive proceedings in British Columbia, mandatory private arbitration or waiver of class-proceeding rights. Please contact us about problems; doing so first is not a condition of exercising statutory rights.

18. Language

Where law requires French-language terms or related documents, we will provide them in French. Another language may be selected only where legally permitted and after the requirements for that choice are met. English does not prevail where that would conflict with applicable law.

19. Changes to these Terms

Updates apply prospectively and show a revised date. They do not retroactively alter accepted orders, which remain governed by the terms applicable when entered into unless we lawfully agree otherwise with you. For existing accounts or ongoing services, we provide required notice and obtain required agreement before material changes take effect. Posting an update alone does not replace those requirements.

20. General provisions

These Terms, applicable order details and expressly incorporated policies form the agreement concerning the Services and purchases without excluding representations, warranties or obligations made binding by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder applies to the extent permitted. Delayed enforcement does not waive later enforcement. A legitimate business transfer may include this agreement only where permitted by law and without reducing your rights, with required notice.
